HN extends social distancing by two weeks

VGP – Ha Noi authorities have decided to extend social distancing by another two weeks, from August 24 to September 6, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong told reporters on Friday.
The capital city began to impose social distancing order since July 24 but it still recorded 60-80 new COVID-19 cases each day, prompting the municipal authorities to extend to order until August 23.
Since the four COVID-19 wave began in late April, the city confirmed more than 2,700 infection cases, of which 1,439 were detected in the community, according to Director of the Department of Health Tran Thi Nhi Ha.
The city is ramping up testing in high-risk areas to early detect infections, Tran added./.
