Hanoi deputies decide on new streets.
The Hanoi People's Council on July 10 approved a resolution on the naming, renaming, and length adjustment of various streets and public facilities across the city for 2025.
According to the resolution, 38 new streets have been named. Among them are Nguyen Huu Lieu Street and Doan Khue Street in Xuan Dinh Ward, Hoc Phi Street in Yen Hoa Ward, and Hang Long Street in Cua Nam Ward.
Other newly named streets include Ho Linh Quang Street in Van Mieu–Quoc Tu Giam Ward, Pham Khac Hoe Street and Phan Hien Street in Duong Noi Ward, and Vien Chieu Street, running from Duong Bridge to Phu Dong Bridge through Phuc Loi and Viet Hung wards.
Additional streets include Duong Ba Trac Street in Long Bien Ward, Le Dai and Nguyen The Ruc streets in Bo De Ward, Nguyen Huy Thao Street in Viet Hung Ward, and Phan Tay Nhac Street in Xuan Phuong Ward.
In rural areas, new roads include Xuan Mai and Duong Viet Dien roads in Xuan Mai Commune, Ba Dam Dang Road through Dan Phuong and Lien Minh communes, Le Xa, Ngoc Dong, Xuan Thuy, and Chu Dong Tu roads in Bat Trang Commune, Tien Dung and Le Tran Can roads in Gia Lam Commune.
The resolution also includes adjustments to the length of six existing streets. Luong Dinh Cua Street in Kim Lien Ward will now officially extend from No. 91 to the intersection with Truong Chinh Street at No. 102.
Van Xuan Road will extend from Km 17+300 on National Highway 32, near Tan Tay Do urban area, to the base of Phung Bridge.
Phu Quoc Road will now run from its current end at the intersection with provincial road 412B near Thach Than Secondary School to the junction with Thang Long Boulevard at Dong But Hamlet.
Kieu Phu Road in Kieu Phu Commune will be extended from its current end at the left bank of the Tich River in Dinh Tu Hamlet to the junction with Thang Long Boulevard in Hamlet 6, Dong But.
Yen Xa Road in Thanh Liet Ward will be extended from Tan Trieu Primary School to the end of the row housing zone of the General Department 5, Ministry of Public Security, in Residential Area No. 7, Yen Xa.
Tran Quoc Toan Street in Cua Nam Ward will now officially run from the intersection with Tran Binh Trong Street to the junction with Yet Kieu Street.
In addition, 14 public spaces were officially named. These include Phuc Loi Garden, Viet Hung Garden, and Sai Dong Garden in Phuc Loi and Viet Hung wards, Gia Quat, Ai Mo, and Bo De Gardens in Bo De Ward, and Nghe Ngo and Thach Ban Gardens in Long Bien Ward.
The resolution also approved the renaming of Capital Youth Park in Hai Ba Trung Ward to Vo Thi Sau Park.
