at a meeting of the local Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control
on February 15.
Especially, competent agencies in Ha Noi are working urgently and drastically to screen F1 and F2 cases (
individuals
who have contact with COVID-19 patients) of a COVID-19-infected Japanese man who was found dead from unknown causes at a local hotel on February 13.
The municipal Health Department on February 14 issued an urgent notice looking for people linked to the patient, and
launched
a
large-scale swab sample
collection beginning in the districts of Tay Ho, Hoan Kiem, and Ba Dinh.
The Ha Noi Center for Disease Control and Prevention
(Ha Noi CDC)
said that the Japanese patient might have developed illness from February 2, posing a high risk of community transmission for the city.
