The Hanoi People's Committee on July 1 issued Official Dispatch No. 3856/UBND-KT on securing power supplies for activities marking the 80th anniversary of the National Day (September 2).

This includes support for rehearsals, technical runs, dress rehearsals, and the main events such as ceremonies, parades, and marches.

Accordingly, Hanoi requests all ward and commune-level People's Committees to enhance public awareness campaigns on the dangers of disrupting high-voltage power lines due to activities such as kite flying or fishing in urban areas.

Local authorities must coordinate with the National Power Transmission Corporation and the Hanoi Power Corporation to strengthen inspections, disseminate safety guidelines, and sign safety commitments with organizations and individuals managing fishing ponds located near high-voltage transmission corridors.

Departments and affiliated agencies have to coordinate with local electricity distribution units to conduct comprehensive safety inspections of electricity use, especially in areas designated for anniversary activities. This includes locations for rallies, parades, and along related streets and public spaces.

All violations of electricity safety regulations must be thoroughly addressed to ensure the highest level of safety for residents, invited guests, and participants in the 80th anniversary events.

The city also requests that the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the National Load Dispatch Center, the National Power Transmission Corporation, Power Transmission Company No.1, and the Hanoi Power Corporation develop an optimal power supply plan.

This plan must ensure absolute safety and stability for all commemorative events and related preparations.

The Hanoi Power Corporation will conduct detailed inspections of the city's entire power system.

This includes ground resistance checks at electrical cabinets, light poles, and transformers located on sidewalks and along streets where large gatherings are expected.

The corporation must also work closely with customers citywide, promoting safe electricity use, promptly addressing any safety risks, and focusing especially on households and businesses near event locations.

Authorities are also urged to coordinate with local governments to regularly raise public awareness on safe, economical, and efficient electricity use.

The Department of Industry and Trade will serve as the lead agency to coordinate the implementation of this directive.

It is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and supervising the execution of power supply tasks by the Hanoi Power Corporation and related units, particularly in areas designated for rehearsals and main anniversary events.

Any difficulties or issues beyond its authority must be promptly reported to the Hanoi People's Committee.
